Asterra Labs’ fully compliant facility in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina was constructed to standards that ensure cleanliness and control. The equipment used in the manufacturing process is constructed with fully cleanable materials such as 316 stainless steel. All of the equipment is housed in an environment that conforms to Good Manufacturing Practices as set forth by the Food and Drug Administration. HEPA filtered environmental air that is controlled and conditioned ensures that the products are free of contamination.

Rigid in-process controls are applied and all specifications must be met and documented in manufacturing batch records. Every batch of product is tested by an independent quality control laboratory, and all test results are available to every customer by scanning the 2D barcode on the packaging.
