What Are the Best Incentives for Your Employees?

And This is How YOU Can Take Advantage

Your employees are valuable and you should do more in making them feel appreciated and motivated to do more. You can’t keep changing employees to see if new ones will do better. However, giving your present employees incentives will make them do more.

Here are some of the best incentives for your employees.

CEO for the day

Recognizing hard work and achievement by making an employee CEO of the day is very innovative. This will propel others to do more and get the prize next time.

Lunch with the boss

Giving an employee the opportunity to have lunch with the boss in a very exquisite restaurant can be very lovely. It is a rare privilege to enjoy lunch and to get to ask the boss questions. It is a room for an employee to showcase him/her self.

Themed team lunch

Organizing a team lunch with a theme is nice. The team can have an outdoor lunch at a favorite place with the opportunity to bond outside work. The business should pay for the lunch.

Company apparel

You can introduce a company uniform to invoke the team spirit. The outfit will be worn by everyone from the boss to the last person. This makes for a sense of belonging.

Team service project

This is community service. Your employees can be involved in doing something together for the community. This will make work not seem all about work.

“Thank you” meetings

Organizing “Thank you” meetings with your employees will make them feel appreciated and recognized for their contribution to the company.

Recognition in front of peers

There is hardly a better morale booster than to be recognized in front of those who saw an employee when he was working hard. This will motivate more drive into tasks.

Jeans day

You don’t have to wear the shirt and tie every day, have a jeans day. That day, everyone will come casual in jeans and the atmosphere will be fun.

VIP parking spot

Celebrate hard work by having a VIP parking spot for the employee of the week or month. This should be competitive so that it can encourage hard work and innovation.

Impromptu time off

Give time off as a surprise to recognize the hard work and excellence of an employee. Let the employee know that s/he deserves it. This will draw many people to do better.

Work-from-home Day

Have a day when the employees don’t have to rush to work. Though they will still work, they can get to relax and have fun at home. You’ll be surprised that more can be done from home.

Breakfast Treat

Most people don’t eat breakfast before coming to work; you can organize a breakfast treat for everyone. Get chef prepared meals delivered to them. It is a great incentive.

Indoor Food Truck

Have an indoor food truck can be helpful as people can get food items they need within the building without going across the street.

Team Birthdays and Work Anniversary

Celebrate the teams. Let there be a commemoration of their working together and work anniversaries. Let the team get a sponsored lunch or a treat from the office.

Coffee shop meetings

Have informal meetings in coffee shops. This is a less tense than an office environment. Ideas can come out of a coffee shop. Let the meeting be fun.

Family Invites

You can organize a bring-your-child-to-work-day or any approach to bringing family to work. It can be to have family observe you while you work and know how cool your office is. The company can have a children’s play park so as not to disrupt much work.

Bring-Your-Dog Day

Let employees bring their dogs to work. Those cute creatures can be fun when they play around the office. It will create an informal environment. For instance, Google allows googlers to bring their dogs to work.

Cover a major expense

You can pay for something quite large for an employee. This will show that you care as the employer. You can learn of a challenge of an employee; it could be college fees etc. cover it. You endear people more with acts of kindness.

Warm Welcome

Welcome every employee warmly. Don’t start the day with a reprimand. When they come into your office, welcome them with a smile. It will break any ice there is.

Different Dress Code

If you have a dress code in your office, try a new one for the fun of it. Or have different teams wear different dress codes. It can be interesting to identify a team member via the outfit. Dress codes can be made fun.

Pay it forward

You don’t have to wait till the ending of the month before you release the checks. You can pay half after every two weeks. You may never how badly an employee can be waiting on a check. Don’t do it the normal way; let your employees always shave money to spend.

Pleasant Break Room

Have a conducive and pleasant break room where the employees can use to relax as a break from work. Have the break room well furnished and neat so that employees can feel relaxed in it. A break room is a good addition to a workplace and you should have one if you don’t at the moment.

Educational Investment

Pay for online courses, sponsor an advanced education, and support educational endeavors any of your employees may want to undertake. It can be very competitive but set some money aside to invest in the education of your employees. Seminars and workshops in your niche can be sponsored by the company to give more practical and academic exposure to getting things done.

In conclusion, giving your employees incentives will encourage them to do more. They are human and motivation is needed for better performance. Be prepared to spend but know that every investment is a contribution to the development of your business in the long run as the employees will give more to achieve the company’s goals.
